From The Race Director . . .
The Reforestation ramble will use a shorter more intense loop and is on the normal WORS race day time schedule as the feedback last year was super positive after the change. We are working on some new amenities. The kids course will be in a new kids bike playground. The course will again be majority single track but with enough 2 track to allow moves. With the shorter lap we will be using the South East Kingdom, Twister and Divas Ridge single track. Divas ridge should have a rock a rock garden and bypass by race day. The Reforestation camp is fast draining for the most part so hope for a little rain to tack up the track. The late August date serves as a nice peaking session for the Chequamegon 40, which takes place just a few weeks after the Ramble.
Although Sunday is race day, be sure to stop out Saturday for pre-riding, the Vendor/Exhibitor Zone with Pete’s Garage, and Learn to Race clinics. Pre-riding will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. DO NOT ride the race course till the pre ride, the direction is opposite from normal in places so be safe.
Ashwaubenon Nordic Ski Team (ANST) is proud to host this event again. We are planning on a party and feed on Saturday night as well with live music. Also, the trail run races are back on the race loop to start the day for the runner in the family.
It is a fund raiser for us but also is held for NE Wisconsin mountain bike community. ANST strives to make Nordic skiing affordable at the regional and national level and is the home of the Wisconsin girls champion and the second place boys and girls team in 2017. Thank our volunteers and find our donation can. Look for our great fall Bike race as well. The Stump Farm Trail Races are fifteen mile and 30 mile in late October and feature leaf free fall riding to extend your season and get you off the cross bike for a weekend.
Brown County looks for trail fees from all riders. The fee is not included in you race entry. The annual pass is really inexpensive and is the way to go and feeds the development of these trails. Show us a trail pass and get a free coffee or a beer!
Rough camping will be offered again. Look for the pay box and “park compact-see the map!” It cost money to host you like this, so make it easy for us please.

At WORS book printing time the enhancement to this event are still in the works. Check and like the Facebook event page for updates and additional events and promotions..
PLEASE REMEMBER! Pets are not allowed at the Park due to the NEW Zoo being next door to the Reforestation Camp.
Riding at the Camp is fast and exhilarating, so come ready to have fun. Expect to ride on hard dirt, rocks, roots, pine needles, sand, and bog spots. A great mix of singletrack and cross-country ski trails.
